Initial Impressions
This project was a great challenge and we’re proud of the results! The client had a large yard, which presented opportunities for creating something spectacular. They wanted something for their huge family to gather in, so we had to think of ways to make it inviting and comfortable. We decided to remodel the cabana, which was originally quite clunky and outdated. It took us some time and effort to come up with a plan that the client absolutely loved. It ended up being an incredibly well-designed space that had ample seating as well as plenty of places for gatherings. There were also numerous spots with great views of the surrounding area, making it even more appealing. Overall, it was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our skills in landscape design and create something special for the client!

The Plan
Our client wanted a cozy area that could be used daily, but big enough that their family of 35 could gather for special occasions such as Christmas. We worked with the client to create a plan that incorporated their needs, from extensive lighting to an outdoor fireplace and hearth. It was essential to make sure all design aspects were taken into account when transforming the plan into reality.
The process of designing this backyard was complex but rewarding. We had to take many things into consideration, and the team needed to be flexible because things can change when we begin construction. Additionally, some design selections were yet to be made which meant that our team had to be able to help with design elements as they completed the project. With careful thought and effort, we ended up with a finished landscape that both our clients and their family love!
How we helped
This project really met and exceeded the clients needs. We designed and remodeled a custom cabana for them, with special WiFi enabled lights that were dimmable and angled just right, giving it the perfect finish. To make sure the space was ready for family gathering, we went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Shortly after completion they were all getting together before Christmas, and we got pictures of them putting the stockings and the presents around the fireplace. It was neat to be able to see our design used the way that we talked and dreamed about it the whole time we were building. The end result made them absolutely delighted with our attention-to-detail and dedication in creating exactly what they wanted. We even took extra time to redo some aspects that needed a bit more finesse in order to give them the cozy atmosphere they desired. All in all, we concluded that this project was worth all of our hard work as it paid off in spades when we got to witness how much joy it brought our client.
